Mac OS X, JDK 7: Projects/classes with some non-ascii characters unusable

    Details

    • Type: Bug
    • Status: Closed
    • Priority: Medium
    • Resolution: Done
    • Affects Version/s: 3.0.9
    • Fix Version/s: 3.1.4
    • Component/s: Project management

      Description

It seems that due to a Java 7 bug, projects and classes with certain characters such as ? in their names are not usable with BlueJ.

A workaround is to use the legacy Mac release (for "Mac OS X 10.7.2 and earlier"), which runs on Java 6.

Update: Classes with such characters are ok now (BlueJ 3.1.1); project paths with umlauts etc still cause issues.
